“I have an 8 yr old lg washer with pedestal. Need to replace the washer. I believe the pedestal from lg I bought 8 years ago should be compatible with latest lg washer with same capacity. Please confirm I do not need a new pedestal for new lg washer.”

Hello there. We at LG recommend you use the right Stacking for said washer and dryer to ensure safety. All LG Washers and Dryers are compatible with LG Pedestals as long as the right Stacking Kit is used. ~Jai.

I was given spare parts with my new base so securement can vary slightly. 8 years may have changed the securement points to the place where it won’t secure safely. It might
