“LG washer & dryer models WM2677HSM & DLE5977SM manuals give directions for installing pedestals matching WDP4 pedestal/hardware which I purchased. Unfortunately the washer & dryer do NOT have slots to attach the hardware on the bottom. Solutions please”

We are not clear on which slots you are referring to on the WM2677HSM and the DLE5977M. The LG - Laundry Pedestal with Storage Drawer - Graphite Steel, Model # WDP4V is a newer pedestal that attaches via the use of T-Clips instead of the adhesive brackets. LG released a special pedestal adaptation kit that contains mounting brackets and self-tapping screws that allows older units that previously used the mounting bracket installation method to be secured to the newer pedestal that uses the T-Clip installation method. If it will help, there is a 'Help Video' on the LG site that has illustrated diagrams showing how to mount units manufactured before September 09 and those manufactured after that date. You can access the Help Videos by clicking on the 'Support' link on the top of the page and entering Pedestal - Front Loader. It is not actually a video but has explicit instructions on how to mount your units onto the pedestal...^IFV
