• No, the SideKick is not able to be used as a standalone unit and must be connected to a compatible washing machine. ^CP

• It works very well but only really suitable for small, light items of clothing and small loads. We have it with the large washer so only use it for smalls and sports clothing. Living in Florida helps since we do not have heavy items of clothing.
