“Can I connect an older Sony surround sound system (with HDMI outlet) to the set?”

• You should be able to. There are 2 HDMI inputs on the TV. Connect your source (Blu-ray, game, Sat/Cable, etc..) to the surround sound audio receiver, then from there connect to the TV. Use all HDMI cables. Neither HDMI input has ARC capabilities so you will not be able to send the sound from the TV back to the surround sound system from a source connected to the TV.

• It would not be possible to connect to the TV via ARC for sound, however, it can be connected via Optical. ^ Jamal
