“How to I get my laptop to provide signal to the 34WP500 monitor. The hdmi cable provided with the monitor is plugged into a J5 Create which is plugged into the asus vivobook. Monitor shows no signal and shuts down.”

Some of the docking stations aren't powerful enough to push video by themselves. Some need the Power Direct (usually a usb-c) to push power to it then it will show the video. And if you just happened to connect it with the USB-C to HDMI cable then you must make sure that your USB c port on either the docking station or the computer is also a display port or else the video will not come through either
