• You should use High Efficiency detergent. The washer analyses the wash load and sets the water amount as it sees fit. But it is possible to set the washer for added water (button on the right side of the front, right hand panel). You can also separately request a second rinse.

• Yes, it does require HE detergent and you cannot choose the water level, which is a huge downside

• Yes use HE detergent with this washer. The machine senses the load size and water but, you can choose to add more water by using the Water Plus button.
