Hi there. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand that the requirement to use semi-rigid ductwork with your WKE100HWA washer/dryer unit has caused some confusion. Your feedback is important, and we'd like to assist you further. Semi-rigid ductwork is recommended because it provides better airflow, is less likely to become crushed or kinked, and reduces the risk of lint buildup, which can be a fire hazard. Flexible ductwork, on the other hand, can easily become bent or crushed, leading to airflow restrictions and potential safety issues. The installer’s insistence on using an adapter for the transition from flexible to semi-rigid ductwork ensures that the system meets safety standards and operates efficiently.
