As to your question about using a water bucket kit rather than venting to the outdoors, I believe LG would say this unit must be vented, but I would say, based on my experience, as long as the dryer is electric, and you used a dryer in the past with the water kit rather than venting, that this dryer should also work that way. In some situations, the humidity and lint that will escape could be a problem. For a gas dryer the fumes must always be vented to the outside, a health and safety requirement.
