  • QuestionBasement has low ceiling, 76 inches. Does the unit require additional clearance above the heigh of the unit? Will I be able to bring in the unit on its side, then stand up?

    • Answer To ensure sufficient clearance for water inlet hoses, drain hose and airflow, allow minimum clearances of at least 1'' (2.5 cm) at the sides and 4'' (10 cm) behind the appliance. Be sure to allow for wall, door, or floor moldings that may increase the required clearances. ~Tanisha

  • QuestionIs physical depth of the machine really 30 inch? Or is it smaller than 30 inch and 30 inch is machine depth + clearance? If it is 30 inch in depth, do I need 30+4inch for installation with clearance?

    • Answer The machine itself is 30 inches, plus a fraction of an inch. You need clearance beyond that fr your hoses and vent. Note that you can side vent these units.
