  • QuestionLG 4.5 Cu Ft Front Load Washer/Dryer Tower; my washer will not turn on. I've tried to unplug - restart, checked fuses, and held the restart button - and still will not turn on. the dryer turns on and works. So it can't be the power or the fuse box.

    Asked by TL.

    • Answer Hi there! It sounds like you've already tried some effective troubleshooting steps for your LG WKE100HVA washer. Since the dryer is functioning and the power supply seems fine, the issue might be specific to the washer. Here are a few additional steps you can take: Check that the washer door is securely closed and latched, as the washer won’t start if the door is not properly locked. Inspect the control panel for any visible signs of damage or issues; sometimes, a reset of the control panel might be needed. Also, double-check all connections and cables to ensure they are properly secured and not damaged. Look for any error codes on the display (if applicable), as these codes can provide specific information about what might be wrong. If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it may be best to contact a professional technician for further diagnosis and repair. • QuestionWhy do I have to use semi-rigid ductwork that came with the machine kit? Why can't I use my existing flexible duct? The installer would not install it because I didn't have an adapter for flexible to semi-rigid.

    Asked by Sasha.

    • Answer Hi there. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand that the requirement to use semi-rigid ductwork with your WKE100HWA washer/dryer unit has caused some confusion. Your feedback is important, and we'd like to assist you further. Semi-rigid ductwork is recommended because it provides better airflow, is less likely to become crushed or kinked, and reduces the risk of lint buildup, which can be a fire hazard. Flexible ductwork, on the other hand, can easily become bent or crushed, leading to airflow restrictions and potential safety issues. The installer’s insistence on using an adapter for the transition from flexible to semi-rigid ductwork ensures that the system meets safety standards and operates efficiently. • QuestionCan the stackable W/D combo be made to sit side by side if you want it to

    Asked by Andrea.

    • Answer Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. We understand that you’re considering whether your stackable washer and dryer combo, model WKEX200HBA, can be positioned side by side instead of stacked. The WKEX200HBA is designed to be stackable for space-saving purposes, but it can be arranged side by side if you prefer. Here are some general steps to ensure proper setup: Check Dimensions: Ensure you have enough space in your laundry area for both units side by side. Measure the dimensions of the washer and dryer to confirm they will fit. Adjust Venting and Plumbing: When positioning them side by side, you’ll need to ensure that the venting and plumbing are adjusted accordingly. This may involve relocating or extending hoses and vents. Install a Spacer: If you were previously using a stacking kit, you might need to use a spacer or adjust the installation to ensure proper airflow and functionality when the units are side by side. If you have any concerns or need assistance with the setup, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be more than happy to help. We appreciate your patience. —Renzo

  • Questionstupid question i know but does it come with the power cord

    Asked by ydc.

    • Answer I had the same question and it all depends on you. If you purchase the installation package with bestbuy ( dont know how it is called), they will install and connect your appliance. If you do like I did, no instalation package, you will need to buy the power cord for the dryer( the washer comes with power cord attached). You can buy at homedepot for around $30. The power cord type will depend on the socket you have in the wall.
