Can you use he detergent pods with this washer? null

Yes, you can use HE detergents with this unit.

When the washer was delivered, I was told if you use the detergent pods, just put the pod right in with the laundry

Yes you can, but if using pods, do not exceed 1 pod per load. Place the pod directly in the drum. Pods may contain too much detergent for small loads. So you may still need to use regular detergent in some cases. ^AC
