Directions that came with machine were easy to follow and worked. I had no problems. You can also find on LG website

Download the LG SmartThinQ from the App store on your smartphone. Once downloaded, sign in and open the app and tap the + sign in the upper portion of the app. Follow the on screen guided setup. ^Daphane
