To provide an optimum washing performance, it is recommended that the hot water temperature from your water heater be set at 120 – 130 °F (48 – 54 °C) and the cold at 60 °F (15 °C). The hot water setting for the washer will be the temperature of the hot water coming from your water heater and the extra hot will be above that temperature. Typically for washing machines, the warm water setting or the medium water setting is between 110°F and 90°F (43.3-32.2°C). And, the cold water setting is between 80°F and 60°F (26.7-15°C)...^IFV
