Is this washing machine noisy? null

This unit features LoDecibel™ Quiet Operation which, we do not have an exact decibel number, but it is comparable to the same decibel as library noise which on average is around 40 decibels. This number can vary due to the installation as well as the home acoustics. ^Daphane

I took the DB meter readings. During the wash cycles it was around 52-55 DB, and spin was around 65-68. My old one was doing an 85-88 DB in spin cycle. But I am not worried about the sound as the machines are on the basement. But if you have it in the living room or near the bed room, I think it is still tolerable, may be you will not even hear it, if you are running a TV.
