My parents live out in the boondocks, have no internet, cable or satellite. They use an outdoor antenna. I understand they will not be able to utilize all of the TV's features, but it should still function as a TV with great picture, correct? null

Went ahead and purchased the TV for my parents in the Boodocks. Hooked up the outdoor antenna, TV did its scan for channels and just like that, 21 channels! Picture is incredible for just being hooked to antenna. Although the TV has a ton of features, it works just fine without the internet, cable or satellite. Just had to show them where the on/off, volume, channel buttons are and how to switch it over to DVD mode and they are as happy as pigs in slop! Great TV!

Yeah the picture should still be great even if you don't have internet or cable, as long as the antenna or whatever they use can output in 4K then it should be fine. The TV can also upscale images or video so even if it doesn't output in 4K quality it'll still look nice.

Yes tv should work don't know what channels are available but, to apps will work if you have internet access for the Netflix and Hulu and so on
