You may need to change your HDMI cable to get a better picture. The ones from XFinity are the cheap basic cables and not really that suitable for the bandwidth you need for the clean signal to the TV. Also, check that your picture option is not set to zoom but the setting for the original picture type. Zoom makes things distorted if they are not at least 1080p, which most channels are not yet.

You may want to contact your cable company to inform them that you are not getting a clear picture. The TV should be giving you a clear picture and all you would need to do is tweak the colors and contrasts to your satisfaction.
