• No, I don't think any TV needs a sound bar, But I have one to enhance the sound.

• I'm sure a sound bar would enhance the sound quality but no sound bar is needed. The tv sounds amazing without a sound bar.

• You don't NEED a sound bar, as most TVs have speakers built-in at the factory, except for TVs labeled as "displays." which are intended to be used with a high-end home theatre system, and will be using the large free-standing speakers of the theatre system all of the time. However a sound bar can make a difference in the audio portion of a program, because most speakers built into thin flat panel TV these days, are usually very small, and deliver only fair audio quality, at best. A sound bar will make a great improvement over the audio signal from the TV's internal speakers, giving crisper sound with a wider frequency sound range.
