“When playing a DVD on my 55" LG OLED TV the sides of the picture are narrower than the 55" screen. Con that be corrected?”

I imagine this is a setting on yout TV, not this DVD player. You can probably adjust it to play to the edges of your content, but it will then likely crop the top and bottom of the image. Oddly, I have an LG OLED as well, and haven't noticed the edges missing... I may check the settings as well!
