QuestionCan the upscaling be disabled for DVD and non-UHD Blu-Ray? I think my TV will do a better job of upscaling.

- Answer I wish it had a setting to disable upscaling by default, but it doesn't (at least I can't find such a setting). You can manually force it though, by changing the output from Auto to 1080p at 24 Hz.

QuestionCan this unit play multiregion DVDs? For example, DVDs from Hong Kong, the UK, and other countries?

- Answer No, this player is not multi regional. It can only play region 1 dvds and region A or region free blu rays. 4k blu rays are all region free so those discs are the only ones that can be played from other countries.

- Answer An IPhone is not able to connect to the UBK80 to play videos. The UBK80 is compatible with Android devices. ^CP

- Answer It comes with a power cable. You’ll need an hdmi cable which I recommend one that can handle 4K for a clear picture. I like rocket fish. Tad pricey but worth it.

Questionwhen I put a flash drive in, i get a screen saying no device connected.. using a 128 samsung flash drive... does this unit have a maximum size it will work with? does it need to formated to exfat? fat32? nfts[ or whatever that one is spelled]..

However, for BD-Live, use the USB flash drive / external HDD formatted in FAT32. IT can support up to four partitions of a USB device. IT is recommended that you use a USB Flash drive of 32GB or less or a USB HDD of 2TB or less...^IFV

- Answer Some functions of this unit are controlled by the TV’s remote control when this unit and LG TV’s with SIMPLINK are connected through HDMI connection. - Answer In order for any device to pass a 4K Video signal, it has to be HDCP 2.2 compliant otherwise if any one single device in your video signal path is not HDCP 2.2 compliant, the signal will not pass through. The HDMI ports on the LG 4K Ultra-HD Blu-ray Disc™ Player, Model # UBK80 are HDCP 2.2 compliant. ^CP

- Answer Yes, but if you are only going to be away from the show for a little while (5-10 minutes) then pause works best. Even if you turn off the system, it will start back up where you left off.
