“Does this connect with LG Smart Remotes? And must I aim the remote at the player for it to work? I want to put the 4K Player "out-of-site" and I'm wondering if I can still control it from just the LG TV, without having to point a remote at the player.”

Some functions of this unit are controlled by the TV’s remote control when this unit and LG TV’s with SIMPLINK are connected through HDMI connection. Controllable functions by LG TV’s remote control; Play, Pause, Scan, Skip, Stop, Power Off, etc. Refer to the TV owner’s manual for the details of SIMPLINK function. The remote control does have to have line of sight to the sensor on the Blu-ray player.
