QuestionThe LG-UBK90 model states that it supports Dolby Vision. This model (UBK80) does not, so can it support Dolby Vision? Does LG provide a firmware update that will allow this model support Dolby Vision? Is this even possible via a firmware update? Thanks!

- Answer It does not support Dolby Vision - it is one of the key differences between the 80 and 90 models. While it might be possible to update via firmware (the 90 originally required a firmware update for the DV support), this has never been advertised as supporting DV so highly doubt LG would create an update even if technically possible to add DV support.

QuestionI have an amazon fire stick plugged in to my TVs hdmi port. If I remove it and attach the hdmi cable to the tv and DVD player will that work to hook it up instead of the traditional cables?

- Answer Turn on Blu-Ray and insert CD. On LG TV remote, press the settings button. Then go to Picture settings menu. Look for Picture Mode option and and select that. Select Cinema or Movie mode. Or turn off the TV screen while playing the CD look for Screen Off or Display Off in the Picture Settings menu. I asked this on LG.com support.

QuestionI was ready to purchase this but noticed it doesn't have WIFI! I didn't care about the lack of streaming services but I do care if this thing ever needs a firmware update and I have to move it closer to my router and find an Ethernet Cable! Is this true?

QuestionWhen I looked at answers to the question, "what if I lose the remote?", it seemed to imply that I could still have control and that that would be no problem. All the answers were from 3 years ago. Is that still true of this particular model?

- Answer Power, Play/Pause, Stop and Eject are all available in small and very subtle buttons on the front, so yes basic functions can be controlled without the remote. The remote adds fast forward and reverse as well as skip forward and back, closed captioning, repeat, home, chapter menus, and volume up/down.
