The ventless Heat Pump Dryer for the ENERGY STAR® Most Efficient / Energy Star® Certified LG 5.0 Cu. Ft. HE Smart Front Load Washer and 7.8 Cu. Ft. Electric Dryer WashTower™ with Steam and Ventless Heat Pump Tech - White. Model # WKHC252HWA, works like a closed-loop dehumidifier, reusing hot air to dry clothes at lower temperatures without needing an external vent. It passes warm, dry air through the drum to absorb moisture, then uses a heat pump system to cool that air, condensing the water into a drain or container. The unit uses a 3-stage filtration system. An inner filter must be removed and cleaned after every load to remove accumulated lint. A second, outer filter sits behind the first and should be cleaned every 10–15 loads to remove fine dust that passes through the first filter. The Auto Cleaning Condenser™ automatically cleans the condenser coils. The dryer uses water extracted from the clothes during the drying cycle to flush lint and debris from the condenser unit, reducing the need for manual condenser maintenance. The Lint Filter Status Indicator lights up when the appliance is turned on as a reminder to clean the lint filter. It turns off when the Start/Pause button is pressed. It also lights up if the lint filter needs to be cleaned. The lint and water flushed by the Auto Cleaning Condenser are expelled through the drain hose, which can lead to the same drain as the washer. Ventless heat pump dryers typically take longer to dry clothes than conventional vented dryers. They take longer because they use lower temperatures and a closed-loop condensation process, though this makes them much more energy-efficient and gentler on fabrics. When a drying cycle is selected, the estimated drying time for the selected cycle is displayed. This time will change if you select extra options for the cycle. The cycle time on Sensor Dry cycles may fluctuate as the appliance recalculates drying time for optimal results...^Ivan.
