• Gina, you can press the start button, not the power button but the start button and it will stop and unlock immediately.

• You can press the start/pause button again and it will unlatch immediately but try to add extra items to the washer before the add extra garment light goes out. If you add things to the washer after this light goes out the washer won't be able to wash the load that it has properly.
