The drain hose must not exceed 96 itches above the bottom of washer and any attaching hoses should be greater in size than the drain hose on the washer. The drain hose should not go more than 8 inches into a standpipe to prevent siphoning, odors,or improper draining. Also it is noted that if your drain pipe flange can fit into your stand pipe then do not insert it more than 1 to 2 inches into the stand pipe.
