The time for washing is based entirely on the cycle chosen and, more importantly, the volume of objects placed inside. For example, I wash a very light load of gym clothes and towel daily when I come home from my local PF. When I start the normal cycle, the washer indicates that it will run 59 minutes, but once it weighs the content and begins the cycle, the time changes to only 29 minutes, a very reasonable time for the small load.

After you load your clothes into the washer then selected your options and press the Start/Pause button to begin the cycle, the lid locks, and the washer agitates briefly without water to measure the weight of your load. It then determines how much water to add to the cycle and it will take variables such as load size, load weight, cycle selected, fabric thickness, amount of suds, water temperature and more to determine the wash time. Some of these variables may extend the cycle duration as they may require more water and take more time to fill the water or to absorb the water and take longer to drain and spin. The pressure of your incoming water and options selected will also affect the cycle duration. ^Daphane
