• I have not upgraded my dryer and have not had an issue. If you wash an extra large load you may have to dry it in steps.

• Aloha, Unless you are going to use the washer to its max compacity I do not see any reason to upgrade to a larger dryer. The gas and or electric dryer that are coupled with these are pretty large to begin with.
