“Clothes don't get wet unless I use deep fill option and I have to physically push larger items (sheets, comforters, etc) under the water or nothing gets washed. Is there a way to get the washer to do its one job? (Have an agitator.)”

I have the model with a agitator. the washing machine starts washing with little water and as the wash progresses it loads more water until all the clothes are covered. but if you want it to start washing with a lot of water you have to use the deep fill button I always use a heavy load in the wash because I have children and the clothes are always very dirty but the laundry does its job and it always comes out clean and well rinsed
