After getting my new LG OLED 55 C1 and starting to setup with my DTV found that the LG "Magic" remote can talk to one of the Directv receivers that has RF remote capabilities. My rcvr is a R-23-600 which is actually a IR type, BUT-- the HR 23 is the RF/IR rcvr with an additional connector and antenna on the back.---The R23 has the RF capability built-in and it works !! even without the external antenna.. The LG "Magic" remote works,--for some but not all functions of the DTV remote, so I still use my DTV remote...
