    Best TV I've Ever Owned

I bought this TV to replace an old LED TV who's screen was muddy and dark and I'm impressed. The picture quality is amazing, no haloing, excellent blacks, fantastic for gaming, and much brighter than my old LED. But the biggest reason was compatibility with all the major HDR formats. HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision are included out of the box and that's something that is very rare. My only major complaint is the lack of HDR10+, but Dynamic Tone Mapping should help with that. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and I think most people will be as well. But if you have a well-lit room, maybe hold off as this TV doesn't get very bright.

I bought this primarily for gaming purposes. The support for HDMI 2.1 along with 120hz and VRR support makes it perfect for PS5 gaming. It also comes with many game mode presets which comes in handy when switching game types. The quality of the display is also immaculate with inky blacks and popping HDR. Worth every penny if you can get it on sale.

The best tv I’ve ever purchased. Made the jump to OLED finally and I’ll never be going back. Me and my wife went to the movies to watch snake eyes and were so sad when we realized our tv at home is exponentially greater in every aspect. This tv has the best colors and with all 4 Hdmi ports being 120hz there is no holding back. Gaming on this is even better then my 1440p 144hz monitor because of how great the OLED is. The ps5 and XSX look phenomenal. Even anime on this tv is another level. If you’re thinking of buying a tv this is the one I promise.

OLED is the only way to watch NFL and play PS5

Bought this about 2 years ago and it still blows me away when I play PS5 on it. This OLED has spoiled me and I won't be able to go back to other types of tv's and monitors. The HDMI 2.1 and 4K capabilities are great and NFL games look incredible on it. I've put so many hours on this unit and there's no sign of burn-in. The true black color capabilities were so amazing that I had to buy another 65" LG C1 for my bedroom. If you buy an OLED tv, you will never go back to LED, LCD, etc...

The picture quality and sound of this TV is amazing! I'm going to run through the highlights of this TV, dislikes, and annoyances. 5.1 surround home theater still puts the tv speakers to shame though. Magic remote is very cool too. PICTURE AND SOUND When viewing 4K HDR and Dolby Vision content with this tv the picture quality will blow you away. So much detail and so much depth of color. OLED is everything they say it is. Perfect blacks and amazing contrast. PICTURE SETTINGS Turn off energy saving mode. Set color dept to 55 and white balance to 50 for most accurate color settings. I prefer white balance (warm vs cold) in the 5-30 range though. For SDR content, turn off most if not all of the picture enhancement settings. Also for SDR content, if the picture seems too dark or shadow areas lack detail, try bumping "screen brightness" up a little, or lower the gamma to 1.9, or try a different "auto dynamic contrast" setting. If the tv is in a dark room or a room that doesn't get a ton of natural sunlight, turn the "OLED pixel brightness" down (I like around 80). This will help protect the pixels as well. If the brightness of some scenes is too powerful, adjust "peak brightness" setting. I leave filmaker mode off and turned AI Brightness adjust off. Color upgrade setting of low or medium works best for most content. Leave contrast at 100 for all picture modes. For SDR content keep sharpness setting on the lower end and for UHD content sharpness setting in the middle of the range. BUILD QUALITY The materials and quality of this tv are very high. Looks and feels high end. Amazing how thin the screen is and how slim the bezel is. INPUTS Make sure the settings of your connected devices are set correctly to take full advantage of this tv. I didn't realize my firestick was set to 1080P for some reason. Chased my tail for hours trying to mess with the tv settings when it was the firestick. DOLBY VISION/HDR CONTENT Youtube does not support dolby vision or dolby atmos yet. Some youtube video titiles are misleading. Search online for apps or shows/movies that support dolby vision. ANNOYANCES Every once in a while when playing 4K content the screen will flicker for a split second. Not sure if it's the tv, or the content itself, or the device connected to the tv. AI birghtness currently only works for dolby vision content. I wish the remote had a quick launch button to change the OLED pixel brightness setting for day vs nighttime viewing OR if for a given picture mode you could set a daytime brightness level and a nighttime brightness level and there was a quick way to switch between the two. INTERNET CONNECTION If you are connecting to internet via LAN (ethernet) buy a LAN to USB connector. The LAN port built into the tv is limited to 100mbps. Cable matters and TP-Link are both known to work and will allow up to 300 or even 350mbps if your internet is capable of those speeds. Turn of WIFI in tv settings so the tv will automatically discover the inter connection through the USB port. "TP-Link USB to Ethernet Adapter, Foldable USB 3.0 to 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN Network Adapter"

Let me start by saying that I am a hardcore skeptic. Im never one to buy into marketing ploys or the newest tech gimmicks. I prefer to make my own conclusions, usually involving overly extensive research and always only after some actual hands on with the product. That being said, boy did LG out do themselves with the new C1! If you're reading this review I will assume you already know that OLED is by far the best picture quality on the current market. The LG C1 is as good as gets without going into the luxury tier. As with all OLED panels the picture is second to none. But where the C1 really shines is inside the unit. There are a mind numbing ways to fine tune and customize your viewing experience to exactly suit your viewing environment and content. Integrated AI can adjust picture and sound based what you're watching and where you're TV is located. Connects seamlessly to the next gen Xbox Series X console without any issues literally just plug and play and all advanced functions are working perfectly including the elusive Dolby Vison for gaming @120hz!! Supports just about any and all streaming services and the new updated WebOs operating system is still just as slick and smooth yet deep and customizable as ever. This year's model has a few new additions including Flim Maker mode and the very nifty new Game Optimizer mode. The build quality is exceptional as well. The back and base are made of metal and the rest from dense solid plastic that feels like metal. This thing is solid and looks sleek and pretty. However it is quite heavy. All this is great and the new though not groundbreaking are very nice. However, thats what expect from an Lg OLED. The real surprise and to me the biggest upgrade from previous models is the sound. Why aren't people talking about this more!? Maybe since this model is so new. Even LG in my opinion could do a lot more to focus and promote this hugely improved quality. I was just blown away with the quality and depth of the internal speakers. With Dolby Atmos integrated and easy Bluetooth connectivity as well as ability to synch with mobile devices and wireless headsets everything you need is there. And it all works. Put it this way I already had a slightly older $500 7.1 surround Samsung Theater speaker system in room, but after testing the Tv didn't bother hooking it up! The internal sound quality with active Dolby Atmos is only slightly weaker than my expensive theater system. And the benfit along with cleaner look of not having all those speakers all around the place was worth the trade off. All things considered if you can afford it this is by the best TV on the market for 2021. I would recommend it anyone.

I always wanted to purchase an OLED TV, especially after my last plasma TV gave out. I am usually an early adopter to technology, but pricing had me wait this long. I went to my local Best Buy to visit my future purchases as usual, and looked at the new Samsung OLED and the Sony OLED TV's. Pricing once again stopped me on that day from purchasing an OLED. This is in my bedroom so i wasnt looking to spend crazy money. Enter the LG C1. I did see it in the store but didn't look at the price. It wasnt until I came home and looked online, that i saw the price of this TV! A 55 inch C1 for $1099.00? Yes please! Man I am so hooked on OLED now! We use YouTube TV and stream everything else. Picture quality is absolutely beautiful, and as close as the plasma TV's i owned! 4K is absolutely stunning! 1080P looks just as nice! My XBOX SERIES X feels like new again! Gaming has never been so smooth. I don't notice any lag and I love how i can change the TV according to the type of game I'm playing. Tons of picture settings if your inclined to do change some defaults. This is an ISF calibrators dream TV. The remote control is easy to use and is magic. ;-) Web OS seems OK but i use a Roku Ultra box, so i cant really comment on its use. Sound quality is good and it passes for my bedroom, but I will be exploring a sound bar option Installation out of the box was very easy. My wife and myself had it unpacked and on the TV stand in about 25 minutes. Setup was quick and easy. This is my first LG experience (I'm a Sony guy) but im very happy so far. Thank you LG for lowering the price of this TV to a level I was happy to pay! I will be buying OLED going forward. So happy!!!!!

This tv is everything they say it is and more. As a gamer, I looked for 120hz for 120fps, the VRR, .1 ML sec lag time and then cinema quality. The Lg C1 emits perfect black levels allowing no shadowing and no motion blur which builds the perfect depth perception and advances the quality images with them appearing life like. HDR and Dolby Vision is beautifully displayed. If you are more of a movie buff and prefer brightness, then I would suggest the Sony Bravia A90J and even the Hisense U8G as competition. What sold me was the features they have for gaming.

Originally brought this tv for my ps5 but I found myself watching tv shows and movies on it most of the time because of how beautiful picture quality is. Since I’ve only had it a few weeks I can’t say much about burn in yet, I’ve been gaming on it with static images like HUDs and HP bars. So far no sign of burn in. I’ll update this post later after a few months of use. If you’re hesitant because of the price then you should be because if you’re gonna spend this much money you want this to look as good as possible. There are cheaper options but the picture quality won’t look as good. Trust me OLED can’t be beat, take it from someone who’s been around LED tv’s their whole life and finally seen an OLED tv in person for the first time. But if you have the money I say go for it.

These are really impressive TVs. I bought 3 of them for a race simulator and being OLED and 4k theyre pretty incredible. One of the reasons for choosing then was the 120hz in gaming mode which most tvs this size won't do. They're also Nvidia Gsync certified. All of the HDMI are 2.1 so you van use whatever input are convenient. As for the colors and black levels I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better picture. These sets are also at a great price point which is always a concern. If you're looking for a great tv or something to use for gaming, your search is over!

Incredible TV. ( 55'' C1) I use it for streaming and gaming (Xbox Series X and PC). Setup was not difficult but not extremely easy. It does everything well exceedingly so far. The quality is perfect. Airplay works fine too. For PC g-synch worked fine with 3080. Highly recommended if you want a state of the art TV. Note: I only have it for a few days so my views might change.

I haven’t bought a television in many years and decided to go for the best available but not too large. The picture is unbelievable. Blacks are pitch black and when there is a light in a scene it looks like the light is literally shining on you, for example a street light. It’s a smart TV and easy to watch Netflix, Amazon prime, Apple TV, etc. Has Bluetooth built-in. Also can project my iPhone or iPad directly to the screen very quickly. A negative is that I cannot expand the Netflix picture to fill the screen, and this organic LED system needs constantly changing pixels on the whole screen to avoid burn in. Another negative is that the screen is very delicate and sensitive and cannot lie flat while transferring it, and one must be very careful when moving it. The picture is fantastic at night, seems dark during the day, but it is in a room with huge picture windows. I was able to use a $60 Bluetooth receiver to play the sound over my old Onkyo stereo system which is set up elsewhere in the room.

Stop reading reviews and just buy it. Need to keep reading? … I would too lol. Picture is amazing and spent a good 2 hours playing in the settings before actually utilizing the purchase. Have a lot of features to tweak the screen colors and also has autopilot screen functions with AI modes. First movie watched was Ford vs Ferrari and I felt like I was looking at high end photography in motion. Every shot had amazing contrast and true to color (maybe a little to true, at times it made me feel saturation in reality was turned down.). The Atmos is wonderful addition to movie watching. However, I am bummed that there is no equalizer. The mid-tones are non-existent, bass is really good and deep and treble is sharp. Sometimes dialogue for movies, I am needing to turn it up because it can be washed out. (This is my only complaint for this television.) First game was CyberPunk 2077 running on PS5 (Still no PS5 Upgrade Patch) and it dropped my jaw. Sun glares to the neon lights bring the city more to life. Need to return to Spider-Man on PS4 and check out the water puddles, be extra nice. ….niiiice…. Wait, where did they all go? The LG internet TV makes it even easier to cut cables. We use an antenna for local television and we noticed the signal is boosted. (Denver, so not sure about rural communities) It makes it simple to source all your streaming applications as well. Has access to play solitaire and other trivial games to pass time. Kept it simple, because I am a simpleton. So stop weighing the options because your wasting your precious mental vegetation time. I just ask you to yell out your car window “thank you!” and I will know. Enjoy!

The LG C1 OLED is great but not perfect. Here's why... Perfect blacks doesn't mean perfect tv. One downside to LG's lineup is peak brightness. The TV just isn't that bright plain and simple. If you're coming from an LCD, you will notice a difference immediately. I was slightly disappointed and began playing with the settings to see if it can get any brighter. Unfortunately these tv's are for dark rooms. That's where they start to shine. I also own a samsung q80. In comparison, not only is the q80 much brighter, but the colors are also more vibrant. The downside to the q80 is you will notice the lack of perfect blacks in dark scenes. Admittedly, I made this purchase to accommodate my PS5. It checks all the boxes for next gen consoles and it looks great when gaming on it. Pros: Next gen console ready Great picture Nicely designed Lots of features Great remote Cons: Expensive Lack of brightness Slow menus Short power cable.

Absolutely stunning picture quality. OLED is really a game changer. This baby has the needed HDMI 2.1 inputs so you can play games at full 4K@120fps! Not to mention that 4K Blu-rays look insane also. Perfect blacks, and if you’re worried about it being bright enough… it really is perfect brightness because some of these new TV’s hurt my eyes, and this one actually helps your eyes! ( (even has a eyecare setting) Built in Dolby Atmos sounds great for TV speakers. And pretty much anything you do with this TV will be better than anything you’ve had before. Trust me on that! I hope this review helps anyone who’s on the fence. DO IT! lol (*note* I took those pictures with just my phone… so imagine how it looks in person) I can’t go back to any other kind of TV honestly. Best TV I’ve ever owned hands down!

WOW!!! This TV is truly incredible. This is for all the people who actually need to read reviews from someone who's not a "self-proclaimed expert". I never write reviews but this OLED deserves it. First off the SOUND is AMAZING! I have a Definitive Technology sound bar and subwoofer, and the combined AI sound from the TV makes a beautiful cinematic combination. Unless you have a large viewing space, I would honestly say you don't even need an extra sound system. It adds to the experience for sure, but it is definitely Not necessary like with most other flat screens. I mean it, you need to hear this TV - it's insane. Picture quality is also unreal! I'm a huge SONY fan and wanted to replace my broken X900E with something new in the OLED world. Of course there were many great reviews for SONY's A80J/A90J, but I simply decided to give something new a try with LG, especially since it's not as expensive as SONY's models either. And I am so glad with my decision. The depth and contrast created by the TV is phenomenal! The picture looks flawless as soon as you plug it in. But it's also very easy to create a more personalized picture if you decide to do so. This is also a beautiful looking TV in general, even when it's OFF! Overall, I think the price is very fair, especially considering that this technology will still be relevant to future gaming and streaming content for a few years, if I had to guess. This is honestly the first TV I ever had that gives me that continuous "TV store floor" feeling. You will LOVE this TV! If you don't send it to me. (I'm serious). I took the photos of the movie while it was playing on the TV, not in pause mode. Okay, hope this all helps!

This proved to be a significant step up from my first generation Samsung 4k. It’s worth taking the time to understand the many picture settings. It takes a bit of tweaking but once you get it right the results are stunning. Don’t be fooled by bargain priced 4k, so called UHD big screens. This LG OLED is twice the price of cheaper alternatives but you get what you pay for…truly black blacks, nearly three dimensional resolution and rich colors.

I install audio/video equipment for a living, and the only TV that comes close to this model in features and image is the Sony A90J. However, the A90J is more expensive and doesn’t have variable refresh rate enabled yet (supposedly coming in a future firmware update) I have been keeping my eye on this model and the A90J for a while, and couldn’t pass up the recent sale from Best Buy. It was better priced than I could get from my distributors. Dolby Vision, VRR, eArc, 4x HDMI 2.1 inputs… this TV really has everything an AV and gaming enthusiast would ever want. For those worries about “burn in” on OLED displays, there is a difference between burn in and image retention. Burn in was more of a problem on older plasma displays, while image retention is something that can happen with OLEDs, but there are tools that can be run on the TV to help clear the retained image. It is primarily an issue if a still image is on the screen for too long, and even then it is usually temporary on OLEDs. Burn-in is possible, but usually only under extreme conditions with a still image on the TV for WAY too long. Overall, this TV really is the best on the market for gamers and it is excellent for movies as well. It does not disappoint in the slightest.

After finally purchasing my dream gaming TV, a group of pixels turned super white creating a vertical and horizontal line. Pixel Refresher helped a little, but I was concerned this could happen again so instead of just replacing it, I returned the C1 and exchanged it for the QN90A. Unfortunately, it only took a couple of hours with the Samsung to regret my decision. There's just no comparison. Mini LED just can't compare to the contrast of an OLED. I'll be returning the QN90A tomorrow and picking up another C1.
