I bought this tv yesterday. Had a very dark picture until I read q&a and turned off energy saving mode. It's perfect now. Color is fabulous, and watching classic black and white movies is amazing - Casablanca never looked this good.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it is some what darker than Samsung or Sharo......I found that setting the sport option helps as well as being in a dark or well lite room. Having the tv in a moderately lite room doesn't give you the best viewing performance.
