“I just bought this TV and it is fully set up. The included remote does not have a backwards and forwards button. It has a pause button which allows me to pause a TV show, but other remotes I've had also let me forward and "rewind." How with this one??”

You should be able to just press the ring down on the Magic remote (left to rewind or right to go forward). See image attached
