“Has LG dealt with the generic problem of failure of the entire HDMI input circuit in their TVs? I have a 55 inch LG TV which is about 5 years old and it suffered a catastrophic failure of the HDMI input ports, only two of which were ever used.”

• I had same issue with my LG. All of the HDMI ports went out one at a time during the first 18 months. I have several other flat screens and never had an issue with any of them; Samsung,Sony, and Vizeo. I have found many people online having same issue with LG. I know I won't buy another one from them.

• I own this tv and have put over 10,000 hours on it. All three hdmi ports still work.
