That means the left and right guide panels can be extended by a maximum of 10.84" on either side of the air conditioner's cabinet. The owner's manual for the window air conditioner lists a Maximum Window Opening Width of 35", which means the left and right guide panels can be extended by a maximum of 8.84" on either side of the air conditioner's cabinet.
