Works fine, reasonably priced and light enough for most to install alone. Directional vanes are small and flimsy. Because the display panel is angled up, functions other than on/off, and fan speed on the remote are useless, you can't see what is changing. Assembly might be hard for someone with limited strength and a power drill is needed. Attaching the screws for the top bracket required a LOT of pressure. Aligning the screws for the side brackets was difficult, getting at the holes is hard (see pics) and without a power drill virtually impossible to get the screws in. You should always secure the unit to the window frame but all windows are different and sometimes the hardware is not practical, or you don't' want to put holes in. My Dad taught a trick, after the unit is in, measure the distance between the top of the bottom window and the inside of the top of the frame and cut a piece of wood, I used an old broom handle. Put the wood between and it is impossible for the window to open and the AC unit to fall out (see pic).

This is my second unit. One is in the living room, the other is in the bedroom. Obviously the bedroom is where it really shines with the door closed but it works well in the living room too where it has to deal with the open air flow coming from the kitchen and hallway. It just takes longer for the temperature to drop but that's to be expected when using it in a space that exceeds the square footage it's rated for. What I like most is the timer. I can time it to turn off just before my alarm clock goes off so I don't have to blast my alarm sound level just to hear it while the AC is running. So yes, it's not a silent unit but I don't have any complaints with the sound decibels it makes when running. I also like the design of the front of the unit. It doesn't protrude out too much so it's almost flush against the wall depending on your window's design. All in all, I'm very pleased with this purchase. It's light and compact which makes for easy installation.

I purchased this LG A C unit for my bedroom. It's about 200 ft² and it works great. It was easy to install very light which allowed me to install this by myself with no added. Help cools the room quite nicely and it's extremely quiet so you can leave it on overnight. And not be disturbed I would definitely recommend this purchase to a friend or a family member

A great 6000 BTU air conditioner which nicely cools down the room, especially in the hot summer months. Not loud, and efficient too!

Need a small window AC with a decent btu and this one works for what I need. Although I wanted a higher btu (8000btu) they don't make anything small that has a width of 18inches.

Nothing but good things to say. I bought this to run during the day, so I could preserve my central AC during this summer heat. I thought maybe it was too small for my family room, but it’s perfect, and does the job…

Small AC, but it cools room very fast and it not noisy. If you have a space less than a 500 sq ft, it will do an excellent job cooling. The angle of the top cooling is excellent, I would say somewhere around 45°. I wish they make bigger ones like this. The only thing you will have to do is to open and keep open a drain on the bottom to relase water faster, to avoid water build up during very humid days.

Seems to function just fine, we do wish it had LG ThinQ or at least wireless functionality, but remote control will have to do,easy installation

I needed a window air conditioner that was less than 12" in height and this item worked great at 11-1/8" high. Very easy to install, came with all the hardware. I was surprise the factor size for being a 6000 BTU for my 5000 BTU is 1/4th bigger. Haven't had a chance to test its cooling strength yet, but does seem to do the job so far.

This is my favorite AC I have purchased because it points upward and not straight out! I don't have to rearrange my furniture anymore :)

Returning, louvers are stationary and go up and have to leave curtain open , wished I’d looked before I bought , assembled the frame , by myself & installed , but it doesn’t get cool enough either , only good thing is this is quiet
