• No not really. For example its hard to hear tv programs by means of streaming if in LR but if u like a light noise while u sleep its great!

• I have two small window A/C units and one larger one. This one is slightly noisier than the other small one, but not as noisy as the older large one. I don't have a decibel meter to take a measurement, but this unit is in my bedroom and is not loud enough to disturb my sleep.

• the unit does make some noise but it is very low level. on energy-saver mode it gets a little louder as it turns off and on there is also some sound from the circulating water
