Ft 6,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner, Model # LW6017R are the vents through which air is drawn into the air conditioner and it is important that these vents are not covered up or obstructed in any way so the unit's cooling performance is not impaired in any way. The unit has a condenser in the back that expels any hot air through the rear vent so again, it is important that there are no obstructions in the back of the unit to prevent the heat from dissipating through the rear vent...^IFV
