We understand your interest in the display's brightness and how it relates to using the unit for an outdoor TV application. Your feedback is important, and we'd like to assist you further. We understand your inquiry about the NIT brightness of the LG OLED65B5PUA. LG's official specifications generally focus on the outstanding picture quality characteristics, such as Perfect Black and OLED Color, rather than a single specific NIT rating, as the perceived brightness varies based on the content and lighting conditions, which is typical for OLED technology. However, based on general performance measurements for the B5 series, the TV can typically reach a peak brightness for HDR highlights in the range of approximately 630-700 nits on a small screen area (10% window), while the brightness for a full screen of white content is typically around 130-200 nits. Regarding your consideration of this model for an outdoor setting, it is important to note that the OLED65B5PUA is a standard indoor TV designed to be used in a climate-controlled environment, such as a living room or bedroom. The standard consumer OLED models are not officially weatherproof and are not designed to withstand direct elements like rain, humidity, extreme temperatures, or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. For dedicated outdoor viewing, especially in brighter conditions, LG offers specialized outdoor commercial displays that are designed with higher brightness (often 1,500 to 4,000+ nits) and are built with weatherproof enclosures to withstand the elements. While the OLED65B5PUA features a stunning picture, its brightness and build are optimized for indoor viewing. https://www.bestbuy.com/product/lg-65-class-b5-series-oled-ai-4k-uhd-smart-webos-tv-2025/JJ8VPZTKWV If you have any further questions about this particular unit, its optimal indoor viewing environment, or if you would like to explore options within LG's professional-grade weatherproof outdoor display line-up, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be more than happy to assist you with more details. —Renzo
