the G1 which is designed to mount totally flush to the wall the included bracket sets into a recessed space in the back of the TV. The only way to make it 1" spacing between TV and wall using the LG bracket would be to not push it all the way in. THAT SAID.. this TV is extremely thin and almost bowed when we picked it up so I don't know if it is really designed to hang like that from the bracket without the extra support of a wall behind it. Not sure what the circumstances are for mounting away from the wall., but the G1 is exactly the same as the C1 except for the super slim aspect. The C1 has all the guts of the TV in a slim area at the bottom of the TV which is probably only about 3-4 inches deep and it is quite a bit less expensive. It is not designed to mount completely flush so it might allow for more space between the TV and wall bc there would be a thicker bracket ... the only area that would not have that extra spacing would be the bottom 6-8 inches where the internals of the TV are housed. hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. With the wall mount that comes with the model, the TV will be flush against the wall to compliment the Gallery design of the TV. You do not have to use the supplied mount. You can use any VESA compliant mount. The VESA Mounting interface pattern is 300 x 300 (W x H). ^Daphane
