Hello, at least 2 inches.^Venette
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The dryer is 30" in depth; and with the door open, it is 51" total depth. I used a 4" dryer vent, which increased the dryer depth to 34"; and with the door open, the total depth increased to 55".
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That depends on the location of the vent connection and on location of your electrical outlet. I spent some time sorting this out, and the closest you can place your dryer to the wall is about 2 inches (if your dryer perfectly aligns with the vent connection and you are not impeded by the electrical outlet). I used a periscope vent connector i bought at a hardware store (see photo) to get as close to the wall as possible. One additional possibility is to purchase a conversion kit (available from LG) so the dryer vents to the right hand side - then you could place the dryer flush with the wall (again, that depends on the location of your outlet.
