They need to connect to the wireless receiver through speaker wire so they aren't truly wireless. However, you won't need to run a wire from behind your couch to the sound bar or AV receiver.

Both rear channel speakers are wired to the receiver which connects wirelessly to the soundbar. The wires are included. ^CP

No. They are hard wired to the back of the subwoofer (which is wirelessly connected to the soundbar).
