QuestionWhat is the thread size for these speakers? Asked LG and they don't seem to know. Also their site reads wall mount kit available, but after contacting them, they don't have one. How do these mount to the wall. All they have is the tiny threads.

- Answer The base is wireless so it connects wirelessly to the sound bar. The speakers are wired to the base. Wish they wouldn't call it wireless bc it's not true wireless. It's the same setup as the wireless subwoofer. The sub connects to the sound bar wirelessly.

QuestionI'm trying to determine if these speakers are compatible with the LG SL8YG soundbar? The video on the product page for this soundbar states that it is, but the description for these speakers does not.

- Answer Hi, I have just bought the sl8yg and the spk8 rear speaker set is compatible and they sound Great, just be careful when wireing to the wireless base unit as at first I had no sound ,make sure the connection is sound and you follow the colour coding instructions for right and left and positive and negative, I would also suggest buying a pair of generic speaker stands from Amazon, about £25 for the pair ,well worth it. Once connected, I think the best sound modes are movies or music , hope this helps ,,,,,,,duffyboy

- Answer Yes. I recently bought the LG SL4Y Soundbar with 6" Subwoofer System and SPK8-S Rear Speakers and they work together as advertised. They paired up automatically, and the surround sound is great. I highly recommend buying them together as a set.

QuestionThe cables provided with the LG SPK8-S Wirless Rear Speakers are not long enough. if I get longer cables what is the maximum length that they can be without reducing sound quality. Cable to run from Wireless Receiver back to TV, then to other side.

- Answer The speaker wires for the LG SPK8-S 2.0 Channel Sound Bar Wireless Rear Speaker Kit are either 16-gauge or 18-gauge wires so lengthening them will not result in any noticeable reduction in sound quality. There is no specified maximum length for them...^IFV

QuestionI have the sk8 rear speakers, but they don’t sound that loud is there a setting or a cable to replace the ones that came with the speakers to make them louder? My sk9y soundbar over powers the sound and it’s almost like the rear speakers are not there.

QuestionI have the SL6Y soundbar. Are the SPK8-S speakers compatible and is the entire hookup wireless?

- Answer They are compatible, but keep in mind they are only partially wireless. The soundbar connects to a large(think cable tv box size) black box that needs to be plugged and the speakers connect via actual speaker wires back to the box. So it won't be like the pics you see online with a cool black speaker sitting on a table. You will have a pile of speaker wires to hide along with a large box and the connected power cord.

- Answer Yes. Once it pairs it stays paired with the same sound bar until you press the pairing button on the back of the receiver.

- Answer with the sk8y soundbar, you can adjust the rear volume by using the levels control. hit the equalizer button on the remote until the R appears in the soundbar led (past treble, woofer, etc). Here you can adjust the rear volume up and down.

- Answer The speakers each connect to the wireless receiver which receives the audio signals wirelessly from a compatible Soundbar. The wireless receiver will need to be plugged into a power outlet. ^CP

QuestionIt’s good to know these wireless speakers aren’t actually wireless. Seems kind of ridiculous to me. If I’m going to have to hide wires I might as well just run it to the unit at the tv.

- Answer Not Really- They do wire to the bluetooth unit which I stashed behind the couch- speakers on stands left and right- Wireless to the Soundbar across the room. I like it.

QuestionTwo part question. Should these be placed left and right on the same horizontal as the ears or should these be placed behind? And Should they be aimed perpendicular to the ears or angled inwards?

- Answer These pair with LG Dolby Atmos Bars. Dolby always recommends to place the surrounds behind you while DTS wants them to the side. So for this setup they go behind the listener.

- Answer I was the one that asked this question and I went ahead and purchased the speakers to see if they worked. They did indeed work with my LG SNC75 SoundBar so I don't know why the LG rep. said they were not compatible. I also contacted the tech line and they told me the speakers would work.
