A:AnswerI continued to use pre-installed 14-ga speaker wire (that I fed through our walls years ago) and the speakers work fine. The ‘OEM’ wire they include is actually to small gauge, and the longer the length, the lower the sound quality.

A:AnswerYes and no....because the wireless speakers don't connect to the television. They pair with the soundbar. So you can use whatever TV you like, but you need an LG soundbar with which this rear speaker kit is compatible.
Me personally, I have the SN8YG 3.1.2 Atmos bar, and they work very well. You just need to make sure that the initial pairing is done with the rear speaker sync unit right next to the bar. Don't try to pair it from its normal position in the back of the room. For some odd reason, while the unit has no problem staying connected to the bar at that distance (for me, it's 9-10 feet), the initial pairing has to be close range.

A:AnswerThe LG SN6Y 3.1 Channel High Res Audio Sound Bar with DTS Virtual:X is compatible with the LG SPK8-S 2.0 Channel Sound Bar Wireless Rear Speaker Kit, but the speakers will not be louder than the Soundbar...^IFV
A:AnswerThe LG Powered Wireless Rear Channel Speakers (Pair), Model # SPK8-S is compatible with the LG SN5Y 2.1 Channel High Res Audio Sound Bar with DTS Virtual:X for 4.1 ch Surround Sound Expansion...^IFV
A:AnswerNot HDMI is required in order to pair theses speakers. Just turned on, click on the pair button and that’ll your sound bar will do the rest automatically. Of course, your sound bar must be on before. You star the pairing process. Enjoy
A:AnswerYou need the soundbar or a compatible bluetooth source. The rear speaker comes with the receiver which needs to have the bluetooth transmitter. If your TV has bluetooth? Might work. I would be doubtful that it is capable of being the bluetooth transmitter.
