“I have the SL6Y soundbar. Are the SPK8-S speakers compatible and is the entire hookup wireless?”

They are compatible, but keep in mind they are only partially wireless. The soundbar connects to a large(think cable tv box size) black box that needs to be plugged and the speakers connect via actual speaker wires back to the box. So it won't be like the pics you see online with a cool black speaker sitting on a table. You will have a pile of speaker wires to hide along with a large box and the connected power cord.

The connection from the rear speakers to the receiver is wired.
