Yes. First off burn-in is very rare and normally just temporary. Best Buy coverage also covers it as well. That being said I have 3 OLEDs and I have no issues with retention past a minute or so. Even in torture tests with video games it goes away very quickly as soon as I switch content. There is also a noise cleaner program in the LG menus that scrubs the screen pixels 1 by 1 to help eliminate any retention. I have never needed it personally.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. While I personally have no idea if it’s possible to repair image retention, I can say that LG doesn’t cover it and even though geek squad covers it on other models I have heard they don’t cover the lg oleds because the manufacturer doesn’t cover it so I would ask a geek squad employee first.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Image retention is temporarily and burn in is permeant, or is it? If you simply leave the tv on a static channel for a few hours it will get rid of it faster than using a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it can with a panel replacement. If purchasing this display or any OLED display I highly recommend getting the Geek Squad protection plan. This plan covers burn in repair whereas LGs manufacturer warranty does not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it can't. Your tv will be ruined within just few months, like mine, if you dare to watch news sometimes. lg will not cover it under warranty
