It is compatible with Windows 11. I cannot speak for Windows 10, since I'm running Windows 11 on my laptop.

We understand your inquiry regarding the LG AP70NS50 portable DVD rewriter compatibility. According to LG’s specifications, the AP70NS50 supports Windows 10 and Windows 11 as a plug-and-play device, so once connected it should be recognized without needing additional drivers. For best results, please connect the drive directly to a USB port on your computer (avoid unpowered USB hubs) and ensure your operating system is up to date. If Windows does not recognize the drive immediately, you can check Device Manager to see if it appears under “DVD/CD-ROM drives” or if any driver entries show warnings; typically, reinstalling or updating the USB controller driver can help. If you encounter any unexpected behavior, you might also try a different USB port or cable. For more detailed guidance, you can refer to the owner’s manual available on LG’s support site. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-8x-external-double-layer-dvdrw-cd-rw-supermulti-blade-drive-silver/1802033.p?skuId=1802033 If you need further assistance or encounter any issues, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport so our team can explore possible solutions with you.
