“When i play a CD my screen goes black and i can't do anything else. I had to reboot. I am using a MacBook with latest MAC OS update (OS high sierra). What is the solution to this problem?”

• I don't think this has to do with the external drive, I use it on an iMac with OS Sierra and when inserting a CD iTunes opens up and plays it without issues. Check the settings on your MacBook, or check with Apple tech support.
