• Yes it will I had to buy it for my Mac. Make sure you buy the warranty plan because if you're clumsy it is easy to break

• Yes. I use it on my Mac desktop at home and also installed the software on my brand new MBP w/Retina Display to use it with the laptop as well. It has worked with both, and it's the same as the Apple unit but cheaper.
