Will this make copies of family DVDs? Not commercial. On a MacBookPro 2016. I've spent over two hours shopping so far. I need a NEW CD/DVD player/writer because the MBP doesn't have one. Should be simple right? Starting to give up and have to buy the AAPL null

Yes it will ! Exactly what we have for a laptop. We used a scanner and scanned our photos in and then transferred onto the discs with this. We made copies for the whole family. We also looked at the Apple one and chose this one as way less money and same high quality.

I don't see why it wouldn't, that would be more a question of the program you use to copy discs. The burner will just do what the program tells it to do. See what you have for a disc copy program.
