• Yes, this player will work with a Mac laptop but will not record Blu-Ray.

• The LG 8x External Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW SuperMulti Blade DriveModel # AP70NS50 is compatible with Mac OS X v.10.5.4 or Higher Operating Systems. The device only comes with a Windows Software Installation disc so you may want to check the Mac site to see if they have drivers available for this unit.. ^CP
