- Answer This is a simple external drive. You need additional software to read and run contents on the drive. Windows Media Player will play audio files. For DVD's, you need DVD player software.

- Answer No. DVDs are considered Standard Definition. You would need a Blu-Ray player to support High Definition discs.

QuestionI recently bought this DVD Drive for my Dell Inspiron 15 5000. After the installation I was able to watch only two DVDs. Now when I try to watch a movie I get a message on CyberLink PowerDVD that the trial has expired. What am I doing wrong? Please help!

- Answer Just drag your files over in the DVD icon folder. It is plug and play. As soon as you put a DVD in it regonizes it.

- Answer When you insert the disk it ask to download a lot of things, but once you try to use the CD player it gives an error. I tried searching online how to fix the error and it did not help.

- Answer I tried the 800 # provided and that LG support person could not help so they transferred me to a Microsoft support person who said I needed to call HP Support. They provided no number and just hung up. After plugging in this device to my brand new computer it repeatedly causes it to restart. It won’t play DVD’s which the description says it should do.
